Meeting Point Finland 2019
for Nordic puppeteers
Meeting Point Finland 2019 is UNIMA Finland’s multinational and multicultural art project that calls the Nordic puppet theatre artists to come together and join the Kulttuurimylly Festival, in which Nordic puppeteers enhance and change the knowhow of puppetry and street theatre - aiming at the equality of all artistic and suburban participants. The project and its artistic results will be shared as a concept for future artistic collaboration projects in other Nordic countries within NORDPU, Nordic Puppeteer Directory. The project has been funded by Nordic Culture Point.
Meeting Point Finland 2019 and Kulttuurimylly Festival program includes:
Cuban Puppetry and Street Theatre Master Class,
Puppet Theatre Seminar,
Street Theatre & Puppetry Carnival and
other performances, workshops and events.
Apply for the Meeting Point Finland 2019 Artist Grant until 12.5.2019
Meeting Point Finland 2019 project enables nordic puppeteers to apply for an artist grant to attend the Kulttuurimylly Festival. For the chosen artists the grant will cover travels, accomodation, lunches and coffee/tea refreshments, attendance to the Master Class and Seminar as well as all the performances, workshops and other activities of the project during 23.9-28.9.2019.
The grant can only be used for this Meeting Point Finland 2019 project on Kulttuurimylly Festival 22.-28.9.2019. Travel and accommodation costs for chosen artists arriving from each nordic country have been pre-calculated and therefore any possible expenses exceeding the grant due to i.ex better accommodation, specific travel arrangements or any kind of upgrade will be paid by the grant receiver.
Please note, that the number of given artist grants is limited. However, in case of not being chosen for the grant, you are still most welcome to join Meeting Point Finland 2019 and the festival at your own expense. In this case, we recommend the Festival Deluxe Package, which enables you for the total cost of 480 € to enjoy the same all-inclusive benefits as the grant artists receive during the festival week, including free lunches and coffee/tea refreshments. The only exception is travels and accommodation expenses, which this festival package does not cover.
